The Voice fans call for Reba McEntire’s exit as execs warn coaches are ‘all replaceable’

The Voice could be in for yet another shake-up after fans make calls for Reba McEntire’s exit after just one season.

The Playoffs begin on the Voice US

Since The Voice first premiered in 2011, there have been many different famous faces offering insightful advice throughout the competition as coaches.

The first season kicked off with Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, and Adam Levine but this quickly shifted after season four.

As a result, stars including Niall Horan, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Shakira, Usher, Camila Cabello, and Alicia Keys have all had a spot in the spinning red seats.

The current 25th installment stars Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and first-timers Dan + Shay, but according to fans this could soon change again.

After making her debut on the series last year, viewers are already eager to see Reba be replaced.

On the show’s fan page on Reddit, many revealed that they think the songstress might get booted from The Voice.

U/ebop212 slammed: “They need to get rid of Reba since Dan + Shay are also countries- rock talent on the show who has no chance at winning- Reba’s washed up and a has-been.”

As u/chocolateglazedonuts added: “I don’t think she was a great coach based on Ruby’s declining performance when we know Ruby is talented.”

While u/KritterVII argued: “I thought she was adorable and I enjoyed her as a coach.”

U/hyerboy51 echoed: “I think Reba has done a great job of bringing her own kind of humour while still being able to give advice.”

The Voice’s staff hairstylists Jerilynn Stephens and Darbie Wieczorak addressed the coach shake-ups in a recent interview with The U.S. Sun.

Jerilynn shared: “I think that the contestants are always new and fresh – new faces and then having Dan and Shay for the double chair, that’s a really cool new experience.”

On Blake Shelton’s recent departure she added: “The show is constantly evolving, we kept going. Everyone’s always replaceable. I mean, truly, it brings a new fresh feel to the show.”
