Pat Sajak takes a final spin with The Office stars on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (exclusive)

Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez reunite, along with “Veep” and “New Girl” stars.

Break out the tissues, because a date has been set for Pat Sajak’s final Wheel of Fortune spin, and Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look.

Sajak has already been replaced by Ryan Seacrest as the host of the original, long-running game show, but he’s coming back for one last season of its spin-off program Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. He’ll return with his cohost of three-plus decades, Vanna White, for the season premiere on Oct. 14.

The season will see celebrity guests competing for $1 million in prize money for a charity of their choice. Those guests include Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez of The Office; Josh Gad, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris of New Girl; Sam Richardson, Randall Park, and Matt Walsh of Veep; Tiffany Haddish and Regina Hall of Girls Trip; as well as Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Cameron Brink, and even more to be announced.

The recent transition between Wheel of Fortune eras has been full of poignant moments. First came Sajak’s 2023 retirement announcement and heartfelt farewell message to fans this past June: “It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.” Seacrest has made the baton pass easy by showing Sajak consistent grace and gratitude, complimenting his farewell message and paying tribute to him on his first day as the show’s new host (“I have some very big shoes to fill”).

Seacrest also shared the sweet welcome message Sajak and White left for him on his first day, and at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony in September, Sajak won his fourth Emmy for hosting the series.

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air since 1975, has cycled through three networks, five hosts (six if you count the April Fool’s Day special where Pat Sajak and Jeopardy‘s Alex Trebek traded hosting duties), five hostesses, and has generated two spin-offs. Wheel 2000, a version of the game for kids, only lasted two seasons in the late ’90s, but Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has been going strong since 2021.

Past contestants on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune include Tony Hawk, Teri Hatcher, Jennie Garth, Sherri Shepherd, Vanilla Ice, Melissa Joan Hart, Snoop Dogg, RuPaul, and more. This season’s Monday night episodes will lead into the new Elizabeth Banks–hosted game show, Press Your Luck.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune premieres Monday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu the day after its premiere.
