As Kelly Clarkson continues to face criticism from body-shamers, her mother-in-law, Reba McEntire, is coming to her defense.

“Get over it,” McEntire told Clarkson’s critics on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday. “Kelly’s happier than she has ever been in her life. Just be happy for her.”

Clarkson, 32, married McEntire’s stepson, Brandon Blackstock, in October 2013. The couple welcomed their first child in June 2014 and the body-shaming that followed has not been limited to anonymous Internet commenters.

Fox News host Chris Wallace recently said that Clarkson “could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while,” which prompted even his colleague, Greta Van Susteren, to call for an apology.

“I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment,” Wallace later said in a statement. “I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her.”

While Clarkson has her fair share of defenders, she’s no shrinking violet. During her own appearance on WWHL in March she had a similar – yet more succinct – message for her critics: “Screw ’em!”
