Backstreet Boys reveal their least favorite song they have EVER recorded: ‘that was horrible’

On a new edition of their YouTube show DNAuary, four of the Backstreet Boys were agreed on the worst record the group ever cut.

Brian Littrell, 43, Kevin Richardson, 47, Howie Dorough, 45, and AJ McLean, 41, all settled on If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy).

The only dissenter from this opinion was 38-year-old Nick Carter, who insisted that ‘I don’t really have a song that I don’t like.’

Brian shed some light on why this might be: ‘You know why the fans love that song? Because Nick is singing the whole danggone thing.’

Meanwhile, Kevin thinks the number ‘was horrible,’ and AJ said outright that the ‘Song should never have been recorded. It is the biggest piece of c***.’

If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy) appeared on the boy band’s sophomore studio album Backstreet’s Back, which bowed in 1997.

Brian gossiped that when he first met the other group members in 1993, AJ ‘wanted to be so bad, but he was so preppy.’

Howie added a bit more detail to this description, remembering: ‘He would come up in a button-up denim shirt and a tie, and he had a briefcase.’

AJ called himself ‘the party-boy’ of the group, and Kevin recalled with a laugh of AJ: ‘On days off, he would do shows as this wannabe pimp called Johnny No-Name.’

‘The biggest prankster by far would be Nick Carter,’ said Howie, who was the victim of such gags as ‘soap bars in my mouth’ as he slept mouth slightly agape.

Howie did eventually get a spot of revenge, smearing Tiger Balm in Nick’s underpants before the band went onstage.

‘And it didn’t come into effect until he was like, about three songs, ’cause the heat started working hard,’ said Howie with obvious delight.
