On Monday, The Price is Right fans found the premiere date for the upcoming season of the primetime special.

“The Price is Right at Night returns September 23rd!” a Reddit user wrote, attaching a schedule to their post.

The show will air on Monday nights from 8 to 9pm.

The Price is Right at Night used to air on Wednesday nights on CBS.

However, the change to Mondays might cause problems with the game show.

Football starts in September and sometimes delays a lot of programs when the games go into overtime.

The game show is even airing a rerun from February 7, 2024, which is a Super Bowl Special.

Reddit users don’t understand why The Price is Right would change the day it airs.

“I don’t know why CBS is moving the night shows to Monday night? They are now competing head-to-head with NFL Monday Night Football,” one fan said.

“That’s definitely unfair,” replied another.

PRIMETIME SPECIAL

The Price is Right at Night began in 2016 with cast members from CBS reality shows, including Big Brother, Survivor, and The Amazing Race.

It was then revamped in 2019 with members from the show, SEAL Team.

A special 50th-anniversary two-hour episode aired in August 2021.

Due to the SAG-Aftra and Writers’ strikes in 2023, The Price is Right at Night aired during the 2023-24 primetime season.

The Price is Right Hosts

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Drew Carey has been the host of the primetime special since its inception.

PAY THE PRICE

The Price is Right fans are going through withdrawal as there are currently no episodes on in the daytime.

The game show went on its summer hiatus on July 8, and it aired a Halloween rerun.

Fans were begging The Price is Right to air new episodes as they couldn’t watch reruns last week.

The Price is Right at Night was not on last week as The Republican National Convention took its place.

However, fans were blindsided because the show promoted a new episode for July 17.

Both versions of the game show will return in September.
