Carrie Underwood WEEPS in the shower for new Cry Pretty music video

Last month she admitted her new album was influenced by the recent accident that left her with 50 stitches and a scarred face.

And Carrie Underwood debuted the music video for the title track of that album, Cry Pretty, on Sunday.

The video depicts the 35-year-old weeping in the shower.

The video opens with the American Idol winner standing under running water while wearing a red negligee.

The skimpy outfit shows plenty of skin and showcases the Grammy winner’s gorgeous gams.

Underwood’s blonde tresses are damp under the cascading water.

The crying theme is hammered home in the clip via the singer’s makeup, the centerpiece of which is glittery eyeliner beneath Carrie’s eyes, meant to signify her tears.

What is not visible in the video is any sign of the songstress’ facial scarring, sustained during a fall in her home last November.

Underwood spoke about the incident during a Sirius XM interview last month.

‘I just fell down. I was walking the dogs out to so do their thing after dinner and I was clumsy and I tripped and I held onto the dog leashes with my left hand and I went to catch myself with my right hand,’ she said.

‘I had missed the step. There was one lone step. If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been fine. And I held onto the leashes.

‘I said if I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been absolutely fine, but it’s just because there was, I went to catch myself and I missed.’

At first singer didn’t think there was much damage. ‘I thought I just busted my lip. Then I walked inside and took the dog leashes off and took my coat off and went to go survey the damage and was like, “Oh, no!” It wasn’t pretty.’

When asked if her face had any serious injuries she said: ‘It was just my skin thank the good lord.’

At the time of the accident her publicist shared that she had ‘cuts and abrasions’ as well as a broken wrist.
