Dolly Parton is one of the most recognizable Hollywood icons, and she knows it, which is why she has a unique way of communicating with people, even fellow country stars like Reba McEntire.

Reba appeared on an October 11 episode of Watch What Happens Live, where host Andy Cohen talked to her about her cell phone preferences. As he prompted The Voice coach and fellow guest Troye Sivan about which emojis they like to use for texting, Andy switched the conversation to the last time Reba communicated with Dolly. As he asked her if she has a texting thread with “Jolene” singer, Reba shocked him with a surprise revelation about her friend.

“Dolly doesn’t text,” she stated succinctly and matter-of-factly.

As Andy heard Reba’s response, he appeared puzzled to hear Dolly doesn’t text or even email. This led him to inquire with a follow-up question about how they keep in touch. “So you only could get a hold of her on the landline?” he asked Reba. “Fax,” she remarked, leaving Andy dumbfounded.

As she explained, she’s not the only one who has been asked to communicate with Dolly like this. “I don’t have her telephone number, and I asked Kenny Rogers one time,” she recalled much to Andy’s shock. “I said, ‘Do you have Dolly’s number?’ He said, ‘No.'”

“Wow. My mind is BLOWN,” Andy exclaimed.

Just like Andy was during the segment, fans were equally surprised by Reba disclosing this secret about Dolly. But when a clip from the night went viral on TikTok, many rushed to the comments to side with her choice to stay as private as possible.

“Dolly really said ‘Do Not Disturb!'” one person wrote. “If they’re not willing to fax it’s not important enough to bother her with. I love it 😂😂😂,” another agreed. “What Ms Dolly really is, is unbothered. 😂😂😂,” a different follower added.

And that couldn’t be more true as Dolly herself explained on The View recently why faxing is her preferred form of communication.

“So I actually, I never did get into getting involved in all that because it’ll take up too much of my time if I tried to get in touch with everybody who is trying to get in touch with me,” she said on The View per PEOPLE. “So I just say, ‘Fax me! Fax me or call me and I’ll call you back.’”

Since Dolly has remained an icon over all these years, it seems like she might be onto something…
