Wheel of Fortune’s Vanna White gets choked up as she admits she ‘can’t think about’ Pat Sajak’s final episode as host

VANNA White has admitted she hasn’t come to grips with her longtime counterpart Pat Sajak retiring.

Vanna, 66, shakily spoke about Pat’s last Wheel of Fortune episode while on Live with Kelly and Mark.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos welcomed Vanna onto October 27’s Live episode.

Vanna opened up about taking her “final spin” with her co-host of 41 years, who is retiring after the game show’s current season.

Mark asked: “Have you thought about the final spin?”

Vanna replied: “I can’t think about it. After 41 years together?

“It’s- it’s hard,” she said, her voice trembling.

Kelly asked if they’ve planned anything for Pat’s goodbye episode in June 2024.

Vanna said: “We haven’t discussed it.”

The iconic letter-turner explained that she and Pat know each other to a T and will cross that bridge when it comes.

“You guys are married. You know how this works,” she said referring to Kelly and Mark.

“We’ve been together for so long that when he walks up the stairs, I can tell what kind of mood he’s in.”

‘I THOUGHT YOU WERE MARRIED…’

Kelly lightened the mood by admitting: “For years, I mean, I think I speak for a lot of people.

“I thought you and Pat were married.

“Imagine my surprise when Pat came to our house for dinner one night…”

Mark interjected: “And you weren’t there!”

Kelly continued: “I was like, ‘Oh my god! Pat and Vanna must have gotten divorced!’”

“That’s funny, that is too funny,” Vanna replied.

‘THANKS FOR THE RYAN WARNING’

As Vanna and the audience burst into laughter, the hosts dished on her soon-to-be co-host, Ryan Seacrest, who co-hosted Live previously.

Vanna shared: “I have spoken to Ryan. He’s so nice, he’s so excited.”

Kelly said: “When a host leaves and another host comes in you never know what you’re going to get.”

“You have to tell me everything!” Vanna joked.

Mark informed Vanna that Ryan “can’t spell,” which Kelly jokingly corroborated.

He then asked Vanna if she had “received texts” from him yet that may have proven as such, to which Vanna said she has.

Kelly then quipped: ”Maybe he’s dictating the texts and somebody’s typing it for him.

“Because, I will say – and I can say this freely, we have all experienced it here – when Ryan Seacrest texts you, you say to yourself, ‘This person is trying to tell me something.’ That’s the first thing.

“It’s that you realize that Ryan is trying to tell you something, but oftentimes, you just don’t know what that is!”

Vanna said: “Thanks for the warning!” And added they “haven’t had rehearsals yet.”

RETIRING WITH PAT ‘WAS A THOUGHT’

Vanna recently shared she almost left after Pat announced that he was retiring earlier this year.

She told People: “Of course, it’s a thought.

“It’s like, ‘Well, wait, if you’re leaving, what am I going to do? How can I stay without you?’”

“It was a very hard decision for me to make, because it definitely crossed my mind.

“It’s like, ‘I just don’t know if I can do this without you,’ but I thought about it and I’m not ready to retire, so I am staying on.”

Vanna has two children with her ex-husband and has found new love with her boyfriend of 12 years, John Donaldson.

Meanwhile, Pat is married to Lesly Brown, sharing Maggie Sajak, 28, and Patrick, 32,

Vanna recently backed Maggie- currently head of social media- to be her successor once her new contract is up in 2026.

The co-host recently told E! about Maggie: “I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason. I think she’s good for our show.”

Vanna will present puzzles for at least two more years when Pat retires and Ryan Seacrest takes over
