The Voice fans bash Gwen Stefani for ‘destroying’ iconic songs with ‘poor’ coaching after Bias’ ‘off-pitch’ performance

THE Voice fans have bashed Gwen Stefani’s coaching after Bias delivered a controversial performance during the semifinals.

Viewers previously attacked her for opting to push him through to the round before the finals, claiming there were stronger talents on her team.

During Monday’s episode of The Voice, Gwen, 54, worked with Bias ahead of his semifinal performance.

She encouraged him and provided a few tips but ultimately allowed him to take the reins.

Bias took the stage in front of judges Gwen, Niall Horan, John Legend, and Reba McEntire to perform God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.

While the judges, including Gwen, went wild for the performance, viewers watching at home were less than impressed.

Several critics appeared to think his singing was pitchy.

One posted on X, formerly Twitter: “So how many more country classic songs is he going to destroy with her coaching before he is voted off? Another POP star in country in the making.”

“Bias was off pitch quite often in that performance of Bless the Broken Road. Oddly pitch problems are almost the norm with Gwen’s contestants,” a second person commented.

A third hater commented: “Bias is dive bar level. I’m honestly mad about the talent that’s gone home before him.”

“If I’m being so serious…if Bias and Jordan don’t both go home tomorrow ONE of them better go home. It’s easy to butcher a Rascal Flatts song but its VERY hard to f**k up a Blake Shelton song…but ofc she made it her mission to do so,” someone else reacted with.

A fifth person critiqued: “Can someone tell me why Bias is still here?”

OUT OF SYNC

It’s not just Gwen’s coaching that critics are attacking.

During a December 5 performance, she was accused of lip-syncing as she took the stage herself to perform.

The NBC coach performed her original song, True Babe during the live show.

She appeared on stage in a studded black top, which she paired with a matching orange overcoat and baggy pants.

The singer and her background dancers performed on a set full of flowers and psychedelic-looking graphics.

After watching her sing, fans flooded to X to share their opinions.

Several wondered if Gwen was even singing live, with one asking: “Was it lip synced?”

A second posted: “Pretty sure Gwen isn’t singing live.”

“Was Gwen really singing?” a third inquired, adding a confused face emoji.

Others simply seemed to think that Gwen’s performance was off, with one confessing: I adore Gwen but this ain’t it.”

OUTTA HERE

Meanwhile, other Gwen critics have been left convinced that her team would be the first to be fully eliminated.

During an earlier episode, the Top 12 performed in the hopes of making it through to the December 19 finale with three of those hopeful singers being on Team Gwen.

In the end, two of those three were eliminated leaving just one – Bias – to be pushed through in the Top 9.

Fans weren’t necessarily surprised but remained confident that Team Gwen wouldn’t be long for the competition.

“Even Gwen can’t bs her way out of this one,” one social media user commented on an online thread.

“Gwen isn’t good at picking. I think she has picked him solely off of his stage presence,” another slammed, referring to the star’s only remaining singer.

“Gwen’s team is so disappointing,” a third claimed.

“Wouldn’t it be funny if all of Gwen’s team was eliminated,” a fourth chimed in, while another claimed the decision was “obvious.”
