‘Wheel of Fortune’ Viewers Shocked Contestant Didn’t Know Name of Huge TV & Movie Star

One letter cost a contestant big on Tuesday’s (October 1) episode of Wheel of Fortune, and viewers can’t get over it.

The contestant in question was Rasheda Tobias from Kernersville, North Carolina, who faced off against Teresa Ronquillo from Los Angeles, California, and Derrick Kyci Balfour from Frederick, Maryland, in the BetMGM Big Winners Tournament episode.

All three contestants were struggling in the “Show Biz” category, with Ronquillo and Balfour both landing on Bankrupt. Eventually, Tobias got a string of good spins and was able to add more letters to the puzzle board.

The board read: “_ I C _ A E _ / _ . / J O R D A N / S T A R S / I N / C R E E D.”

Tobias decided to take a guess, answering, “Michael P. Jordan Stars in Creed.” This was, of course, incorrect, as the actual answer was “Michael B. Jordan Stars in Creed.”

“Who tf is Michael P jordan? Girl..,” wrote one fan on X.

“MICHAEL P JORDAN?!? HOW DO YOU F*** THAT UP?!?” said another.

“This lady just said Michael P. Jordan…” commented another viewer.

Another added, “Vanna’s face when that lady said Michael P. Jordan talk about blowing it! #wheeloffortune #wof”

“Michael P. Jordan??? I guess that’s Michael B. Jordan’s twin,” said one fan.

“I know this lady on Wheel Of Fortune didn’t just say ‘Michael P. Jordan Stars In Creed’ I am devastated for her,” added another.

Michael B. Jordan is best known for his role as Adonis Creed in the Creed movies, plus Erik Killmonger in Black Panther. On television, he starred in The WireFriday Night LightsParenthood, and Raising Dion.

Tobias was never able to recover from that point forward and ended up finishing last in the episode with $3,550, compared to Ronquillo’s $8,000 and Balfour’s $13,200 (plus a trip to Las Vegas).

Balfour went on to the Bonus Round, where he selected “Food and Drink” as his category, along with the additional letters “D, B, K, and A.” This left him with a puzzle board that read: “_ A S _ E _ / _ _ L K.”

Sadly for Balfour, he couldn’t figure it out, only landing on the second word (“Milk”) just as the timer ran out. The correct answer was “Cashew Milk,” meaning Balfour lost out on an extra $40,000.
