Bob Barker Retires

Bob Barker was a legend in the game show world. He was the host of The Price Is Right. However, he chose to retire. It seems that they were auditioning for hosts after filming or in between takes. There were 10-12 different hosting options. Mario Lopez was also one of the people who auditioned for the role. However, to fans’ surprise, Drew was not one of the people auditioning for the role. It seems he was approached by production to take on the role in which he accepted. One former contestant and super fan was shocked. Since being the host, Drew has not won any Emmy Awards. Bob Barker had won 14.

Former Contestant Doesn’t Approve Of Drew Carey

Ted Slauson is a super fan of the show. He also participated when Bob was still the host. However, he does not seem to approve of how Drew does things on the show.

“It’s like he just was going to do things the way he wanted to do them, and it’s like, okay. So that’s why you’ll see when people spin the wheel behind anyone, like, it’s the same over and over and over. And after a while, it’s like, do something different. Everything is always the same. ‘Next prize, please.’ I’m like, seriously, you can’t come up with something different at least a couple times during the show? But I don’t get paid the money. He gets paid, so,”

Yikes. He seems to be getting bored of the same thing happening every time. However, he seems to be pleasing production and most other fans.

It seems that Ted thinks something new needs to be done. Some other fans agree with that. Ted seems to think that Drew does the same things over and over again. He needs to add something or do something different. However, this also falls on production, not just Drew. While the show does not plan on getting rid of Drew anytime soon, Ted is hoping they do.
