Price is Right fans call out contestant for ‘crazy and dumb’ move that lost him car prize as crowd loses it
PRICE is Right fans have slammed a contestant’s decision after he lost out on a car.
Host Drew Carey asked Craig if he was sure before he walked away.

Craig played Spelling Bee, where he had to pick a number from the bee hive and it would reveal a dollar amount.
On the back of the cards were letters.
If he picked the right ones and they spelled out “CAR,” he would win the car.
Craig picked, 11, 7, and then 30 and 1, after guessing the correct prices of two items.
His total was $4,000, after each of the numbers were valued at $1,000 each.
Drew, 65, offered Craig to keep the $4,000 instead of the car because if he didn’t have the right letters, he would walk away with nothing.
Craig consulted with his wife and then told The Price is Right host that he was going to “take the money and run?”
Drew asked him did he take the money because he didn’t get the fifth card.
Craig said that his gut told him that he didn’t have it.
Drew then walked over and turned the card around one by one.
The first card has a “C” on it, the second an “A”, and the third a “R.”
The crowd then went into an uproar and Craig put his hands on his head.
However, the model working the game told him that he shouldn’t be upset.
“Right. I have $4,000 more than I did when I came here,” Craig said.
The Price is Right Hosts
The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.
Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)
Drew Carey – October 2007 to present
Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version
Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special
‘SHOULD’VE GONE FOR IT!’
The clip was posted to the game show’s Instagram page and fans scolded Craig for his “dumb” move.
“Should’ve went for the car!” said one fan.
“That was crazy! sorry should’ve went for the car,” said another.
“The most depressing thing I’ve witnessed all week,” a third added.
“Crazy move,” said another.
“That was dumb. Always try for the car,” a social media user said.
EPIC FAIL
This isn’t the first time fans have mocked a PIR contestant.
Earlier this month, a contestant was asked to leave after five failed attempts.
Contestant Elvira spun the wheel very lightly and landed on the number 65 for her first spin.
Normally that would be a great first spin, but Drew told Elvira that it didn’t count.
“The wheel has to go around at least once,” the host said.
The contestant spun again, not even going past the 65, and landed on 45.
Drew offered to help Elvira out and she landed on 75 with his help.
He told her she had one more spin and she rejected his help when he offered one more time.
Her fourth spin landed in between numbers, so it didn’t count.
Elvira’s fifth and final spin landed on 40, which put her over 100, and eliminated her.
Drew thanked her for coming before escorting her off the stage.
One X, formerly Twitter, said that it was “painful” to watch while another said it was “embarrassing.”
