A few minutes into The Price is Right, Drew welcomed a contestant named Jeffrey down to the stage.

Once there, he revealed he was on the show 30 years ago when the late Bob Barker was the host.

Jeffrey showed off his one-of-a-kind T-shirt that featured a photo of the two of them shaking hands.

“Wow, look at that,” Drew smiled and said. “Young Jeffrey with Bob Barker.”

The T-shirt referred to the late host as “legendary” above the picture and noted the year was 1994.

Jeffrey then turned around to show what the back of his tee looked like.

Soon to be legendary?

The back was empty except for the top, which read, “2024 with the soon-to-be legendary Drew Carey.”

“I need a picture, Drew!” Jeffrey explained of what he needed in order to fill out the space below the caption.

TENSE MOMENT

Drew dropped his smile and turned away from the contestant after reading the T-shirt, though.

Facing the camera and the audience, he asked of his status, “Soon to be legendary?”

Realizing why the host seemed a bit hurt, Jeffrey awkwardly laughed and clapped as he tried to hide behind Drew.

The Price is Right announcer George Gray jumped in to joke, “That’s our show! Good night, everybody!”

“That’s a wrap,” Jeffrey added as he waved to the crowd.

Ready to help move the show forward but still wanting to have the last word in the joke, Drew asked the announcer about the next prize, saying, “What do we have for Jeffrey, who has yet to be converted?”

Drew tried himself to end a segment on the show early just the day before.

BEGGING FOR A BREAK

While he didn’t call for the episode as a whole to wrap up, he begged for producers to send the program to a commercial break.

The request came after a contestant named Carina left him completely shocked by a personal detail she shared.

After joining him on stage, the player revealed her sister competed on The Price is Right in 1975.

Carina said she was only three years old when her sister played on the game show.

She then left Drew searching for his words after revealing she’s the youngest of 16 kids.

“What?’” he asked, stunned. ”Man, uh–“

Drew continued to stumble over his words as he suggested, “I, uh, think we need to go to commercial.”

They didn’t go to a break, though, and cameras caught Drew falling over laughing, and Carina eventually joining him.

‘Well, welcome to the show,” he eventually told her after finally finding his words.

The host then explained to the crowd that 1975, when Carina’s sister was a contestant, was the game show’s first year.

After thinking about it all again, he told Carina, “Wow, amazing.”
