Reba McEntire has a delicious secret weapon to lure contestants on The Voice to her camp as the new season gets ready to kick off

Reba McEntire may have a secret weapon when it comes to luring contestants on The Voice to her camp.

In an interview on Today, host Carson Daly spilled the beans.

‘In this season, you’ll see when someone makes it on her team, they get Reba’s tots. Right then and there, right on the set.’

Carson was referring to Tater Tots.

The Turn on the Radio singer, 68,  is a big fan of the frozen nuggets and has included several recipes with them in her upcoming cookbook, Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots.

The book will be published in October.

In an chat on the Living and Learning with Reba McEntire podcast, the Somebody artist and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, revealed that ‘Tater Tot’ is his nickname for her.

The couple were enjoying dinner out with friends, and Reba had ordered her favorite side dish.

‘That was the perfect moment. You ordered Tater Tots, you delved into them like a great white shark with ketchup,’ the Big Sky actor recalled.

‘And I just thought, that’s it. It’s “Tater Tot.”‘

In return, Reba refers to him as ‘Sugar Tot.’

Reba joined The Voice as a guest judge last season, but was hired to replace Blake Shelton, who decided to leave the competition.

Reba will be mentoring contestants alongside Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Niall Horan Monday night when the first episode airs.

‘I get to hang out with Gwen without Blake around, so that’s fun,’ she joked.

Reba said she plans to use her own experience in coaching the hopeful superstars.

‘While I have their attention, I want to give them that… advice from life experiences that they can use,’ the Kennedy Center Honors alum explained.

‘The music and melody (are) technical things that I don’t have,’ she contended. ‘I’m not a perfectionist, so it doesn’t really bother me if it’s a little flat or sharp.’

‘If your heart and soul is in it and I felt something, we’ve done our job.’
