The moment occurred in October 2016, and after briefly talking about The Price is Right, Colbert abruptly confronted Drew Carey:

“I have a beef with you. A comedy beef with you.”

Colbert then relayed the defining moment that caused his heart to sink when Drew Carey announced the following sketch as rapping, and he had to get up with the rest of the cast and perform.

Drew Carey laughed alongside the audience but relayed that he had nothing to do with Colbert having to rap and that it was all to do with Dan Patterson and the rest of the Production crew for Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Colbert shook his head and joked that Carey needed to tell Patterson to “go to h*ll,” to which Drew Carey said that he would.
