Gwen Stefani Reveals ‘the Thing’ About Husband Blake Shelton That Keeps Her Falling in Love
When it comes to Blake Shelton, he’s got at least one trait that keeps Gwen Stefani swooning almost 10 years after they first started dating.
The “Don’t Speak” songstress sat down with host Jennifer Hudson for her daytime talk show, offering an intimate glimpse into their relationship in honor of the couple’s third wedding anniversary.
When asked by Hudson for an example of something the “Pour Me A Drink” crooner does that reminds her of “why you fell in love” in the first place, Stefani didn’t pass up the opportunity to gush over her husband.
“The thing about Blake is that you’ll never get through a day without laughing,” Stefani, who turns 55 on Thursday, Oct. 3, shared.
“It doesn’t even matter what’s going on,” she added. “The guy has so much patience and so much kindness in his heart. It just makes you happier every single day. So that’s pretty much, I mean, laughter.”
“That’s more than enough,” Hudson interjected, a point they both could agree on.
“We’re chasing it, we’re all chasing it,” Stefani said with a grin.
Stefani and Shelton, 48, first met in 2014 while working as coaches on The Voice, they went public with their relationship in 2015 and wed about six years after that, in a ceremony officiated by Carson Daly on July 3, 2021.
Though the two haven’t welcomed any children together, Shelton has been very vocal about the way the three kids—Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10—the “Just a Girl” songstress shares with ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, seamlessly blended into his life and how much he enjoys being a stepdad.
Earlier this year, the country singer told Entertainment Tonight that his “perfect” scenario would be to have “a repeat of these past 10 years.” He said he “absolutely” loves not only teaching Stefani’s sons about country music but about working on their family’s Oklahoma ranch.
