Watch ‘The Voice’ Star Kelly Clarkson Confront Blake Shelton Over Her “Stripper Dance Moves”

Throughout their time together on The Voice, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton never cease to crack jokes at one another. But sometimes things can go a bit too far, as fans witnessed in a recent season 23 episode.

During the latest round of auditions, sprinter Chloe Abbott (who’s training for the 2024 Paris Olympics) walked out onstage in hopes she’d score one of the coaches as her mentor. As she landed on Chance the Rapper’s team for her rendition of the Bee Gees’ “How Deep Is Your Love,” Kelly called Blake a liar for fabricating his intentions of being on the U.S. Curling team after his final season. As a result, Kelly did something that even shocked the country star. She got host Carson Daly to roll out a lie detector test to catch Blake in the act.

“Is anybody else just sick of Blake lying? A lot of lies coming from Blake. Carson?” she said on the NBC show, before turning to Chloe. “You are more than welcome to sit in my seat while we make sure the world knows the truth.”

As the “Since U Been Gone” singer probed the veteran coach with questions about the season so far, Blake kept causing the word “false” to light up the big screen. After he got a question right about whether wife Gwen Stefani married him out of pity, Kelly proceeded to shimmy in victory. But Blake being Blake decided to tease her about her dance moves.

“What was that deal? That’s like a stripper move,” he joked with the Grammy winner. Unsurprisingly, she wasted no time responding with her own quip. “It’s a happy move! Why’d you take it dark? How do you know what they do?” she said.

Thankfully, Niall Horan stepped in to shift the focus back to Chloe’s audition. But The Voice fans couldn’t help but crack up at Blake and Kelly’s interaction when a clip from the night was uploaded to YouTube.

“I love them they are hilarious,” one person commented. “Love Kelly and [Blake’s] dynamic so much they are hilarious 😂,” another added. “It took 23 seasons but they finally put a lie detector on Blake,” a different user laughed.

After this incident, one thing is for certain. Don’t come for Kelly, because she’ll find a way to get back at you tenfold.
