‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Pat Sajak Shocked As Player Threatens His Job
Pat Sajak was too stunned to speak on today’s Wheel of Fortune when a contestant named Eric made a very shocking admission about his aspiration. Turns out, the game show host wasn’t alone in being caught off-guard by the reveal from the contestant as there was a noticeable gasp from the audience as an awkward aura settled in.
What exactly did this contestant admit his aspiration was that left Pat Sajak too stunned to speak and the audience feeling awkward?
Pat Sajak left too stunned to speak by contestant
It is no secret that Pat Sajak has been thinking about retiring as the host of Wheel of Fortune. He’s been the host of the game show since 1981 and he’s openly admitted he thinks it is nearly time for him to retire. He, however, has high hopes the game will continue to go on long after he’s gone.

Turns on, a contestant on today’s episode of Wheel of Fortune took it upon himself to try to push Pat Sajak into retirement by admitting that he wanted his job.
Pat, listen, you’ve been doing this for 40 years, and I would love to have your job. As we say in show business, the show must go on. And I want the show to go on with me.”
Viewers at home took notice of how excited Eric was when he made this bold statement to Pat Sajak. Initially, the audience laughed at what the contestant had to say. But, some gasped and it got a bit awkward as Pat was too stunned to speak and froze for a moment. After what was said washed at him, he came back at the contestant with a bit of charming humor.
“Do you know something I don’t?”
Pat Sajak has been with the show for so long that most assume he will only leave if he chooses to leave or if he passes away because he’s a staple at this point in time. That being said, the game show has been renewed for another five years. This means the show will definitely run until 2028. And, it will run into its 45th Season. It, however, is unclear if Pat Sajak plans to stick around that long as he’s made it abundantly clear he’s nearly ready to check out.
