Wheel Of Fortune fans recall Ken Jennings savage dig at Ryan Seacrest amid rivalry claims

While rivalry claims stir, fans are remembering when Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings threw shade at Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest.

While the pressure builds for Jeopardy!’s Ken Jennings ahead of his new rival host Ryan Seacrest taking the reigns on competing game show Wheel of Fortune, fans are recalling a time when Jennings took a major dig at the fellow ABC gameshow host.

The two gameshows have held neck and neck ratings for decades, but as both the shows are going through major shakeups, it is up to each show’s new host to keep their numbers up.

Jennings began hosting Jeopardy in 2023, a few years after longtime host Alex Trebek died of pancreatic cancer. Just a year later, Seacrest was announced as the new Wheel of Fortune host following Pat Sajak’s retirement.

Now, a corporate insider has spilled to The Sun that producers told Jennings he has to be on his A-game as Seacrest steps up to the plate, especially if Jeopardy’s rating begin to sink.

While the rivalry grows, fans of the American Idol host are reminding viewers of the ruthless dig Jennings took at him shortly after finding out he would be replacing Sajak.

Just a few months back Jennings, 50, was taking questions from a studio audience ahead of taping an episode of Jeopardy! when one of his answers caused quite the stir.

A fan asked: “What’s it like hosting a show that you know all the answers to?”

“It hasn’t happened yet,” the star said with a laugh.

“I don’t know, like, maybe they’ll let me do Wheel someday, but, uh…” Ken continued on as the crowd laughed along.
