Wynonna Judd Recreates Childhood Photo for ‘Sixty and Sexy’ Birthday
Fans are calling it the ‘coolest picture ever’ taken of the country songstress.
Wynonna Judd is officially entering a new decade!
The country queen turned 60 years old on Thursday, May 30, and she took to social media to start off the birthday festivities with a bang.
In her latest post shared to Instagram, Judd recreated a photo taken during her childhood, in which she was just a little girl playing dress-up.
In the original pic, which was propped up in a frame next to the singer, a young Judd was sitting on an orange crushed velvet chair while putting on a pair of red high heels. She was also dressed in a pair of matching red pants and a white short-sleeve top which she accessorized with a long, gold chain necklace.
Judd, who had much shorter hair back then, appeared to be playing the part of an adult in the sweet throwback photo, as she even posed with a cigarette in one hand, and her high heels were clearly several sizes too big.
But fast-forward to present day, and the all-grown-up country star posed in what looked to be the exact same spot, and even sat in a very similar chair. (It’s not clear if the room behind her is exactly the same as the one from her childhood, or if it was staged that way to mimic the photo.)
This time, Judd’s red high heels fit much better, and her hair, a vibrant copper shade, was much longer than it used to be.
She still tried to encompass the energy from the original inspo pic, once again holding a cigarette in one hand and giving a soft yet sassy smile to the camera.
One fan took to the comments to call the shot the “Coolest picture ever of Wynonna Judd❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
“And finally those red shoes fit. Gotta wear your crown that’s all there is to it,” added actress Beverly D’Angelo.
A slew of other friends and fans flocked to the comments to send Judd birthday wishes on the post, which the “Rock Bottom” songstress aptly captioned, “SIXTY. 👠💄✨”
“SIXTY and SEXY!!” one of her followers gushed, while fellow country singer Carly Pearce called the newly-minted 60-year-old “as hot as ever!!!! ❤️.”
“You’re the best looking 60 I’ve seen,” another person gushed
Rosie O’Donnell also chimed in to say, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEEN.”
