For the first time in over four decades, Wheel of Fortune has a new host. On Monday, Ryan Seacrest debuted on the popular game show, and the post-Pat Sajak era has officially begun. However, after just one episode, several fans called on the show to fire Ryan after he made his first mistake.

Ryan Seacrest took over as the new Wheel of Fortune host on Monday. The episodes were filmed over the summer, but this was fans’ first chance to see Seacrest working the big wheel. While many fans praised his performance in his first-ever show, others wanted him fired.

Some fans saw Ryan make a mistake on the first episode as host and want him gone immediately. It doesn’t matter that this was his first game as host; accidents will happen. The Wheel of Fortune fans who never wanted him as host now demand his termination for the mistake.

This happened when one contestant was solving the puzzle on the board. The puzzle’s solution was “Vine-Ripened Tomatoes.” The player said, “Vine-Ripening Tomatoes.” Ryan seemingly ignored the mishap, and he gave the player the win. This allowed the person to win a vacation to Italy.

One thing long-time Wheel of Fortune fans have gotten used to was Pat Sajak not accepting mispronounced answers to questions. Many fans criticized Pat for disallowing answers that sounded wrong based on a person’s accent. However, this one was different because “ripened” and “ripening” are two different words and not just a mispronunciation.

With that said, there are producers backstage to correct for these moments. It didn’t happen; the episode shot a couple of months ago and showed the incident in full.

Fans Demand Wheel Of Fortune Remove Ryan Seacrest As Host

Several fans feel Wheel of Fortune should immediately fire Ryan Seacrest for making a mistake during his debut episode. Some might also be angry at Ryan for not mentioning Pat during the opening monologue for his premiere.

Fans swept onto social media, demanding immediate repercussions.

“I don’t like the fact that Terry mispronounced the winning trip puzzle and he won it !!!! Pat would have said, ‘I’m sorry, Terry that’s not the answer.”
