Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani fight to get Dreion on their team in The Voice season 26

The Voice Season 26 released its second Blind Auditions episode on September 30 on NBC, where, once again, artists performed their hearts out to get the coaches’ chairs turned. Eleven artists gave their best performances, hoping to get coaches vying for them, and out of those, nine artists impressed the coaches and made them turn their chairs. However, some performances had the coaches giving their best lines to lure the artists into their teams.

Dreion, a 27-year-old Nebraskan singer, was the first to go on stage, but he made sure that all the four coaches turned to have a look at him. Dreion performed Shining Star, a song by Earth, Wind & Fire, and all four coaches could not help but turn to admire his performance. The judges were impressed by Dreion’s voice and confidence.

Gwen Stefani, who took her sweet time turning the red chair, was rather quick when it came to luring Dreion to her team. But Snoop Dogg was headstrong that he would fight for him. The two coaches went head-to-head to grab him for their team. Reba also gave him a shot by telling him that she won the last season of The Voice, so he must choose his coach wisely.

After living any artist’s dream moment, that is, these esteemed coaches fighting for him, he decided to Go with Snoop Dogg on this journey.

Dreion got the first four-chair turn in episode 2 of The Voice Season 26

Episode 2 of The Voice Season 26 premiered on Monday, September 30, and the first artist to grace the stage was Dreion from Nebraska. Dreion performed Shining Star by Earth, Wind & Fire, and it was no surprise to the coaches when he revealed that he had opened for them during a tour. Michael Buble was the first to turn the chair and was fascinated by his use of falsetto.

Reba told Dreion that she was so moved by his performance that she wanted to turn the chair and see what he looked like, and said that she ‘loved his dance moves.’ On the other hand, Snoop Dogg mentioned that he loves Earth, Wind & Fire and tried to bling his way out to get the artist into his team. Gwen was prepared to go head-on with Snoop and told Dreion:

“It’s very rare that you can get somebody that can sing and have a stage-like aura like you had. That takes years. And that’s not an easy song to do!”

However, Dreion decided to hop on ‘Uncle Snoop’s team and told the judges it was tough to decide which coach to choose. He said:

“You all have given me a really hard decision. But I will have to say my choice is going to be ‘Uncle’ Snoop!”

Fans will be fascinated to witness how Dreion’s journey unfolds in season 26 of The Voice and whether he can push Snoop Dogg closer to winning the trophy this season. Snoop Dogg also chose Gail Bliss for his team using the ‘replay’ button.

The Voice Season 26 Episode 3 is scheduled to release at 8/7c on NBC and a day after on Peacock.
