During the episode, Drew Carey walked out in a wrestling costume and the announcer said they were celebrating Halloween.

Since it was July, fans were confused as to why the show was celebrating the holiday three months ahead of schedule.

The episode is a rerun from October 2023.

The Price is Right is starting its summer break this week before Season 53 starts in the fall.

All this week and then into August, the game show will air reruns, according to TV Guide.

“What is happening on The Price is Right?” one X user asked, as they shared a photo of Drew in his costume.

“Price is Right seems to be doing a wrestling theme today,” another added.

The new season is set to start sometime in September.

WRONG PRICE

Before The Price is Right ended for the season, the final week was filled with many mess-ups and crazy moments.

On Friday’s show, a contestant realized he didn’t win after jumping up and down in celebration.

Charles thought he won the showcase round, when the crowd cheered for him.

He and Timothy made it to the Showcase and bid on various items including trips, cars, poker sets, and more.

Timothy bid $30,030 for a poker table, trips to New Orleans and Louisiana, and a car.

The actual price of the Showcase was $37,807, which made Timothy $7,777 under.

The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Charles’ showcase had a watercraft, a home bar, and trips to Thailand and Croatia.

He bid $24,500, but the real price was $35,626.

This put Charles $11,126 under the actual price.

Timothy was the winner, but Charles jumped up and down and looked excited because a man in the crowd cheered when Drew read off his price.

Charles was ushered off once he realized that Timothy actually won.

RIGHT CHOICE!

During Season 52, Drew experienced a first on the show.

At the start of the Fourth of July episode on Thursday, a special buzzer went off after four players guessed the price of a grill.

Joseph made a bet of $2,000, and the final guesser, Vintanya, went with one dollar less at $1,999.

Both Drew and Vintanya were equally shocked as he revealed the grill’s price to be exactly her bid.

As the player ran onto the stage, Drew made a confession about his time on the show.

“Can I just tell you, my whole career here at Price is Right… you’re the first one to go a dollar under and get the exact bid,” Drew said.

He then handed Vintanya $500 for guessing the amount exactly, which was just the start of her success on The Price is Right.

The player also won a brand-new Buick SUV after playing the Cover Up game.
