The View fans beg ABC network to ‘cancel the show immediately’ as hosts are called ‘horrible’ and ‘disrespectful’
THE View fans have raged online, claiming the talk show should be canceled and blaming the hosts for its fluctuating ratings.
Social media users have called for the daytime TV show to get the axe due to the hosts’ controversial viewpoints.

While tensions continue to rise on The View among the panel – including Whoopi Goldberg, 68; Sara Haines, 46; Joy Behar, 81; Sunny Hostin, 55; Ana Navarro, 52; and Alyssa Farah Griffin, 35 – with their heated political discussions, fans have been weighing in at home.
However, they’re not joining the conversation but pleading with ABC to remove The View from its lineup.
“Cancel The View already,” one X user wrote.
“Can we cancel The View? I never saw such hateful human beings,” another said.
“@ABCnetwork cancel The View. It is disgusting!!!” a third begged.
“@Disney for real, cancel The View,” a fourth echoed.
“The women on the view are horrible. They lead the pact for that type of behavior,” a fifth added, resharing a debate the ladies had on the show about President Joe Biden dropping out of the electoral race.
“Who’s their audience? How’s that show still on?” a sixth wondered.
“OK!! who thinks its time to cancel and shut down the show THE VIEW. Face it, it wasn’t the same since Barbara Walters left it that was what how many eons ago. It’s literally a circus. Back in the days that show would have been canceled already,” a seventh stated.
The View—which started in August 1997—has long been known as an open floor for the all-female panel to express their opinions on politics and Hot Topics, and the panel regularly invites celebrity and political guests to join their discussions.
But the show and its hosts have received significant backlash over the years, as viewers often disagree with what’s said on camera.
This has been reflected in the series’ roller coaster ratings in recent months, leading many to wonder how much longer the show will last.
In September 2023, fans accused Whoopi and her co-hosts of staging a shocking exchange between her and Alyssa to boost viewership.
The View hosts
The View is an American talk show airing on ABC from 11am-12pm EST, Monday through Friday. It features a diverse group of women that discuss the day’s “Hot Topics”, ranging from hard-hitting news to celebrity gossip. The six co-hosts include:
Whoopi Goldberg
Joy Behar
Sunny Hostin
Sara Haines
Ana Navarro
Alyssa Farah Griffin
During the episode, Whoopi abruptly halted a serious discussion with Alyssa to ask if she was pregnant.
Alyssa acted completely taken aback by Whoopi’s question, which The View veteran said she asked because she “got a vibe.”
The moment went viral, making many think Whoopi’s sudden outburst was planned.
“Whoopi asking if AFG was pregnant was Staged…It was meant to be headline grabbing and make news. Why, for ratings, in this business everything is about ratings, even your local and national news,” one person theorized on a popular message board.
“If this was NOT staged then I need to believe that Whoopi had absolutely no respect for AFG to just blurt something out on National Live TV like that,” another reacted.
Rumors have been circulating that Whoopi and Joy are retiring soon, though they’ve claimed they have no intentions of stepping away.
However, they have been cutting back on their time at the studio, as Whoopi has every Friday off, while Joy has Mondays off.
