“Best Singer We’ve Seen So Far:” ‘The Voice’ Viewers Are Loving Cameron Wright

Monday’s (Oct. 14) episode started off with a bang as Cameron Wright took the stage. The formerly Minneapolis-based artist barely needed one note to convince Michael Bublé to turn his chair. Gwen Stefani followed close behind as Wright demonstrated their range with an incredible cover of Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were.”

Coaches Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg turned their chairs as Wright reached the opening line of the second verse. That’s when Wright’s fate officially landed in their own hands. And the coaches weren’t the only ones who were impressed. “just turned on the voice got me in tears over here,” one viewer wrote on X/Twitter. “wow great song one of my faves he slayed it.”

“That is how you kick off a show with a four chair turn, Cameron Wright!” another viewer wrote.

Where Did Cameron Land?

After Wright wrapped up their performance, it was time to get to know the coaches a bit. “That was spectacular!” Reba exclaimed. “One of my favorite songs, and boy, you sang the heck out of it.”

Wright, who uses they/them pronouns, explained that they have been singing professionally since age 5. That’s when their mom—a professional gospel singer—tossed them up onstage to sing “Jesus Loves Me.”

“You just came in and sliced the air out of the room,” gushed Gwen Stefani. “Not one moment wasn’t perfect the way you sang that.”

Then it was Bublé’s turn to heap praise on Wright. “We all know you have a beautiful voice. But my favorite part about you is that God gave you a light that pours out of you,” said the Canadian crooner. “You can’t buy it, you can’t bottle it. I would love to be your coach.”

Snoop Dogg did his best to woo Wright, but Bublé had already locked it in. Cameron Wright is officially joining Team Michael
