‘Happy’s Place’ Gins Up Solid Pilot Audience, Surpassing 10M Cross-Platform Viewers Since NBC Debut
Happy’s Place NBCUniversal
EXCLUSIVE: Reba McEntire is raking in a solid audience on Happy’s Place.
The pilot, which debuted on October 18, has now amassed 10M cross-platform viewers in the week since it aired, according to NBCUniversal. That’s up 150% from the 4M it managed in the live + same-day window.
Speaking of live viewership, Happy’s Place breathed some life into the generally sleepy Friday primetime, improving the 8-8:30 slot by 90% in total viewers.
In terms of streaming, the episode is currently NBC‘s best new comedy launch ever on Peacock, based on the three-day average minute viewership.
It’s no doubt that Reba McEntire is a draw for the network, as she also serves as a coach on The Voice, which continues to be the most-watched alternative series for the fifth consecutive season.
In Happy’s Place, McEntire’s Bobbie inherits her father’s tavern, named Happy’s Place, and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had.
The series also stars Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn. Writer Kevin Abbott executive produces with Reba McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry and Pamela Fryman.
Created by Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott, Happy’s Place is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
New episodes of Happy’s Place airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and next day on Peacock.
