Carrie Underwood reveals battle with pregnancy insomnia as she tweets in the middle of the night… before spending $600 on make-up

She’s delighted to be expecting her second child, after suffering a series of devastating miscarroages.

But while she can’t wait to hold her baby in her arms, Carrie Underwood can not pretend to be enjoying every moment of her pregnancy.

The singer revealed she was suffering from pregnancy insomnia, spending hours awake each night.

Taking to Twitter in the early hours of Friday morning, the 35-year-old wrote: ‘Dear pregnancy insomnia, Please go bother someone else…like dads. Go bother dads. My husband sleeps so soundly and peacefully and I’ve been awake for 2 hours (so far). How is this fair? Imma lose my mind!’

After finally getting back to sleep, the exhausted mother of one then awoke to find an unfortunate side effect of her middle of the night wakefulness – her credit card bill.

‘Worst part about insomnia = waking up this morning to see what I bought online while I was up. I just realized I spent over $600 on make up.,’ wrote Carrie.

She tagged her post: ‘Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time’, ‘Help Me ‘, ‘Take Away My Shopping Apps’ and ‘But There Was A Sale’.

The eight-months pregnant star is expecting a second son with former Canadian professional ice-hockey player husband Mike Fisher.

The loved up duo already share three-year-old son Isaiah.

Having had three devastating miscarriages before conceiving once more, she has finally made it through and is now in her third trimester, with her son due in January.

The couple married and 2010 and now live in Franklin, Tennessee.
