The Price Is Right fans found themselves laughing at Drew Carey on stage recently. The game show host started violently kicking equipment on stage after a mishap. So, what happened? Keep reading to find out.

Drew Carey Kicks Game Machine On Stage

It’s not often that Drew Carey gets physical on stage, but sometimes the job requires it. One of the newer games on the show, Flip Flop, started to malfunction during a recent episode.

The host explained to Leanne, the contestant, how the game works. Drew told her she would need to guess the price of her prize. He continued, telling her that she could “flip the first two numbers” or she could “flop the last two numbers.” The third option is flipping and flopping.

Leanne consulted the audience at The Price Is Right. After some consideration, she flopped and settled on the price of $9,782. “When I say three, hit the button. Ready? One, two, three,” Drew told the contestant.

That’s when she pressed the red button on the side of Flip Flop. To everyone’s surprise, nothing happened. Leanne continued to press it several more times, but without any results. “Oh no!” she remarked, laughing it off.

Drew Carey stepped forward to fix the issue. “Let me get it. I’ll get it,” he told her. The Price Is Right host pressed the button multiple times, but it still didn’t do anything.

Then Drew decided to really take matters into his own hands (or feet). He kicked the side of the machine a few times, which caused the whole thing to shake on stage.

The Price Is Right announcer George Gray could be heard laughing from his podium as Drew approached the machine again. He slammed the button and it finally worked, revealing that Leanne’s guess was correct.

“Congratulations!” the host said, as she started to jump up and down.

The Price Is Right Games Are The Originals

The clip was shared on Instagram and fans shared their reactions to the mishap in the comments. “Not Drew kicking it!” one fan commented with a laughing emoji. “Nothing like attending a taping of this show!! If you have a chance to go, do it!!” another person wrote.

A third person said that Drew’s moves reminded them of the previous host of The Price Is Right. “Reminds me of the Barker karate kick when the games broke,” they said. A fourth pointed out that some of the games used on the show “are the original game machines.”

Flip Flop made its debut on The Price Is Right on February 25, 2000. At the time, Bob Barker was still the host of the game show. So, it’s been around for a while.

This isn’t the first time Drew Carey has gotten physical with a game on stage either. The game Master Key experienced some technical difficulties and he had to step in to help the contestant again.

Now that The Price Is Right is on hiatus until September, the games might get some much-needed TLC.
